It seems unimaginable that Vermont could rank 9th in the U.S. in households experiencing food insecurity. Donors to the Gay & Lesbian Fund of Vermont have stepped up to help alleviate hunger in Vermont by designating year-end awards to Hunger Free Vermont, the Vermont Foodbank, the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf, and local food shelves in Hardwick, Randolph and Williston. These awards fund food relief services to low-income families lacking adequate food supply or sufficient nourishment.
