The Gay & Lesbian Fund is midway through a three-year sponsorship of Vermont Public Television's "In the Life" broadcasts.

We are proud to support this celebrated in-depth look at the people, issues, and policies shaping the gay experience. Vermont Public Television benefits through receipt of much-needed funding, and through this arrangement we're able to express our appreciation for VPT's steadfast commitment to "In the Life" during the many years when the show was unable to secure a local sponsor.

Finally, we are pleased that our support of this esteemed institution contributes to the fulfillment of our own mission, as on-air acknowledgement of our sponsorship draws attention to the positive contributions LGBTQA Vermonters make to our state.

The Gay & Lesbian Fund of Vermont will build on its successful relationship with Vermont Public Television by expanding our sponsorship to include prime-time programming on a regular basis. We ask that donors interested in supporting Vermont Public Television partner with us by directing donations to the Fund for this VPT sponsorship. The Fund will bundle the donations received from folks across the state and direct them into an expanded sponsorship of programming on Vermont Public Television.

Vermont Public Television will receive the additional funding it depends on to bring valuable, thought-provoking programming into our homes, and Vermont's LGBTQA community will benefit from the goodwill established among VPT viewers across the state and beyond.

As always, donations to the Gay & Lesbian Fund of Vermont are tax deductible to the extent provided by law. The Fund will waive its normal transaction fee on any donation designated to Vermont Public Television through September 1, 2008, ensuring that every dollar of your contribution will provide support to VPT.
